A few days ago, a friend told me to check my mailbox beginning Tuesday. I love sending and receiving Christmas cards better than anything. It’s such an inexpensive way to be thoughtful and share your love with those around you. So when I pulled a small box out of my mailbox, I was pleasantly surprised. As I opened the card and then the small box, tears immediately formed in my eyes — which is shocking, considering I never cry. (#sarcasm) This beautiful charm was inside along with the note pictured below.
I was incredibly touched.
If you remember back in October, I took a trip to Kansas City to meet some of my online friends. We called the trip #Simonpalooza. Throughout our weekend in Kansas and Missouri, many people asked us what #Simonpalooza meant (and what Blunt Lancet was). Somewhere along the way, I threw up a gang hand signal and said #hashtagit (similar to the ridiculous photograph you see below).

The phrase caught on and as a result of my idiocy, I received this gorgeous charm from the group. I can’t say thank you enough to everyone who was a part of that trip and to the group for this beautiful gift! (And major thanks to Heather and Becca). I certainly can’t explain how much everyone in this community means to me, but I guess I can try:
#iloveyouall
(As an aside, the group shot at the airport totally made my collage of a Christmas card this year).
SIDE NOTE: Today is National Cupcake Day. FYI.

I would love to know who made that. It’s amazing!! And now we need pics of you wearing it.
Also that picture is NOT ridiculous. I LOVE it. And I love your phrase so much that I used it yesterday while explaining Twitter to a co-worker. 😀
You want to know what it means?
Hashtag it!
