Later gator

It’s time. Today, probably as you’re reading this, I’m flying across an ocean or some gargantuan land mass known as a continent. Either way, I’m headed to another part of the world — a place I’ve never been. The plan once I’m there is up to Him, not me. I do know I’ll be teaching children English and teaching them about Jesus. I’m terribly excited and anxious but so thankful for this opportunity.

Please remember to pray for me in the coming days. Pray for the Lord to move in a mighty way, pray for safety and pray for discernment. I’ve never felt more confident of anything in my life than this trip. It’s been confirmed to me time and time again, but most recently was last Sunday. My church commissioned me for the trip, and my parents and close friends were there to pray over me. As the pastor prayed for me by name, I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit in an intense way. As I knelt, I wept at the thought of how He’s brought me to this place. Bowing before Him with the people I love most in this world gathered around me, I felt such peace and contentment. So please don’t worry or fear for me. I am fine, and I will have protection. Know that I’m following His will, and His timing and ways are always perfect. He is faithful.

But please continue to pray for me.

While I’m gone, I have some amazing friends lined up to entertain you so don’t be a stranger. I’ll see you in a couple of weeks. Thank you for sharing this journey with me and allowing me to tell you stories each week. It’s the best part of my day.

If you’re interested in donating to this trip, you can mail a tax-deductible check to Asbury UMC, 980 Hughes Road, Madison, AL 35758. Be sure to include my name or “Trip number 95662” on the check. Anything above what I need to raise will be given to the ministry I’ll be serving overseas so please consider that. Above all else, please pray. Thank you.

  1. Travel safely, kiddo. I know you go with God & I’ll try not to worry, but He knows that’s a hard one for me. Always has been.

I hope we get to hear all about it when you get back. ♥♥♥♥♥♥
