Eventually, I’ll get back to blogging about diabetes. I promise. But allow me this space to share something with you I’ve been sitting on for a while. I’m thrilled to be part of a new campaign in Huntsville with the potential to do some amazing things for people throughout North Alabama! It’s called Causeway, and you can do so much to help us get started!
Causeway was founded in Chattanooga as a way to help non-profits reach a larger audience. It’s a website, completely volunteer-run, which connects causes to people who can help make them happen. I’m beyond excited to be part of Causeway launching in Huntsville! Watch this short video about Causeway, and you’ll understand why I’m so passionate about this organization!
It’s not about raising money alone. Many organizations need help in other areas:
- Can you write a press release?
- Do you have tools you can offer to help build something?
- Are you an accountant looking to give back?
- Can you help with social media?
Many non-profits have small staffs, some even volunteer staffs. Needs are huge, but often unknown. Causeway is the catalyst to change that. By posting causes online, people in the community can offer tangible help! This is such an amazing tool that’s desperately needed in Huntsville. Causeway isn’t competing with other organizations, only offering to help them reach a larger base for things needed. So how can you help?
For starters, register online at huntsville.causeway.org. You can set up an account now, even though the site hasn’t fully launched. You can also set up non-profits and causes others can support starting in January.

The potential to reach thousands is huge, and I can’t wait to see how Huntsville embraces Causeway! Be the catalyst for change!
