Nashville.
Home of the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium, the Americana Music Festival, the CMA Music Festival, CMT, GAC, Third Man Records, RCA Studio B, the Country Music Hall of Fame, Hatch Show Print, the Bluebird Cafe… the list could go on. I mean, my lovely town is called Music City for a reason!
But you know what else Nashville is famous for?! Super awesome, fun, long bike rides aimed at raising money to cure type 1 diabetes! On Nov. 1, I’ll join a few hundred others as I cycle 100 miles in the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes Nashville ride. In addition to cycling a century, I’m raising $3,000 for research for type 1 diabetes–an auto-immune disease that causes the body to no longer produce insulin. I’m combining the Nashville ride with the city’s musical fame and raffling off a brand-new, beautiful Loar acoustic guitar!!

The model is the Small Body LO-16 with a mahogany neck and a black finish. All raffle entries will be 100 percent tax-deductible, and I’m covering the cost of shipping if the winner lives out-of-town. Entering is easy!
A $20 donation gets you one entry to win, and a $35 donation gets you two entries. Visit my JDRF Ride page here and simply make the appropriate donation. The raffle will close on Nov. 1 at midnight CST. A winner will be selected publicly on Nov. 2 at 8 a.m. CST and announced on victoriacumbow.com and Twitter.
The LO-16-BK guitar retails for $399. It includes a lined case as shown in photos. You can read additional details and see the specs by visiting the Loar page here. If you have any other questions, you can email me directly at victoria[at]victoriacumbow[dot]com.
This raffle is intended to support a good cause with a great guitar, but in the end, it’s about finding a cure for type 1 diabetes. Forgot where to donate? Right here >>> http://www2.jdrf.org/got/victoriacumbow4
(JDRF is the leading funder of research for type 1 diabetes and consistently ranked at the top of Forbes list of worthy charitable organizations. You can learn more about JDRF by visiting the foundation’s website.)
