That’s the number of units of Humalog I bolused for Wednesday. How ’bout them apples? Apparently, my insulin pump missed me because after several hours of paying it no attention, it screamed at me to show some affection. (I have it set that if no buttons are pushed within a certain time frame, it beeps to let me know and if there’s no response, it shuts off).
I woke up around 6 a.m. low. I ate five glucose tablets and went about my day. For breakfast around 8 a.m., I ate two scrambled eggs, two pieces of bacon and fruit (blueberries, strawberries and canteloupe to be precise). I was 85 mg/dL when I ate, so no insulin.
At lunch time, I was 117 mg/dL, and I enjoyed a lovely piece of chicken and from ??? Again, no insulin.
