It’s officially ride season! I’ve signed up for another JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes, this time in Nashville, and I want you to ride with me! Because it’s a new ride and because Nashville is, well, awesome, the ride is reaching full capacity fairly quickly. There’s only a limited amount of slots left, but I think you should take one of them!
Last week, 23 Nashville riders signed up for their hometown ride. Two friends in Huntsville decided to join in on the fun and signed up last week as well. So did Lisa Ruth. And Jeff. And 300 other people! I think you should do the same.
We’ll be training for the next eight months in and around Madison County. We’ll be taking trips to ride the actual course in Nashville together, and we’ll be taking spin classes together. We’ll be riding together on weekends and organizing fundraisers together. If you sign up now, you already know five locals who will help encourage you and push you to be the best. You’d think five local riders would satisfy me, but it doesn’t. I want more … so why don’t you ride with us? Yes, you!
Sign up for the Nashville ride and make a difference. You can sign up HERE! You already have a team in place, ready to help you succeed. I know fundraising can seem daunting, but it’s completely doable. If I can raise $4,500 on my own last year, we can raise $3,000 together this year! I will help you, and so will our local JDRF chapter. We’re committed to making sure you don’t do this alone. You will have a network of support and help along the way, so what do you say?
Who wants to be next?
UPDATE: The Nashville ride registration has been closed. It reached capacity before the end of January. Be sure to check out the other five amazing rides JDRF offers!
You have a team?? Do I need to be in Alabama to be on it? And do they have different fundraising requirements? I would have already signed up but I’m so scared that I won’t be able to raise $2,000!
I’m so excited that we’re going to be riding together again this year! A huge, huge thanks to you for convincing me to sign up last year (and this year) and to Sarah for telling me that registration was filling up so that I wouldn’t miss out.
I don’t know if any other ride location will really match the sheer insanity of Death Valley, but perhaps we’ll be able to ride this course without worrying to much about not making it to the end. It will be nice to have trees along the route, too. :^)
September will be here in no time!!
