It felt like a sucker punch. One of those moments when you’re happy and smiling and laughing, but within an instant, you’re in tears. It was a moment like that.

A friend was diagnosed with breast cancer a few weeks ago. She’s also three months pregnant. If the weight of that isn’t heavy enough for you… she also has type 1 diabetes. When I hear those words echo in my mind, I feel the sucker punch all over again.
