True inspiration

Hi friends. I have a favor to ask of you today. With your help, we can change a kid’s life. His name is Gabe, and he’s 7 years old. He lives in Guntersville, which is about 45 minutes from Huntsville where I live. Gabe was born without legs and with only one arm. But his spirit, smile, energy and personality were fully intact. The best description I can give of Gabe is — determined.

When Gabe is told something is impossible, he proves the opposite — just as he did when someone told him he couldn’t swim without two legs and only one arm. So Gabe learned to swim.

Gabe just finished his second season with the Guntersville Aqua Cats swim team, and he’s planning to continue his swimming quest. Gabe’s story has been selected as a finalist for America’s Inspired Youth, which is fan-voted. If he wins, he’ll share a prize of $100,000. It could literally change his life and help shape his future — which is incredibly bright!
