Home.

We made it home last night around 6:30 p.m., though my luggage didn’t make the same trip. (It’s expected to arrive later today.) I fell into my bed around 9 p.m. and woke up around noon today. After a giant Americano from Starbucks, I’m still yawning incessantly. My mind is anything but tired as so many memories race through each minute. I need to process most of them before sharing my trip with you. Some parts I believe I’ll want to keep to myself as only stills in my mind. It was a beautiful trip full of highs and lows, but Jesus was definitely present. It’s a gorgeous land full of many colors and a merging of cultures. I already miss the people terribly, and I hope to return sometime next year. While I take a few days to catch up on sleep and collect my thoughts, enjoy some highlights…

A village deep in the jungles of Sumatra.

I drank Sumatran coffee on the island of Sumatra. It felt surreal and absolutely perfect.

A hot spring at the top of a volcano. Easily one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.

This sweet girl couldn't speak a word of English, but she knew every step to Gangnam Style. Seriously.

A local family hosted us for dinner on our last night. Such sweet, precious moments full of tears and laughter.
